Arch Capital Group has elevated Prashant Nema to executive vice president and deputy chief operations officer as the company looks to strengthen its operational capabilities and tap into global talent pools.

Effective immediately, Nema will continue to serve as chief information officer while assuming additional responsibilities overseeing Arch’s global services organization. He will report to chief operations officer Chris Hovey.

“Prashant’s IT leadership has played a critical role in Arch’s ability to scale, and he is well-deserving of these expanded responsibilities. Now he will also be tasked with ensuring we are able to tap into the global talent pools that will be critical as we look to embrace opportunities worldwide,” Hovey said.

Since joining Arch in 2015, Nema has led efforts to enhance the company’s infrastructure, implement enterprise-wide security measures, and integrate shared service desk operations. His work has focused on aligning IT investments with Arch’s strategic priorities, ensuring cost efficiency and operational resilience.

Nema’s professional background includes serving as founder and chief technology officer of a mobile commerce start-up. He also held senior IT roles at Silicon Valley Bank, where he served as chief information officer from 2010 to 2013.

He holds a bachelor of science from Bhavans College and a bachelor of engineering in computer engineering from D.Y. Patil College of Engineering and Technology.
