Guy Carpenter has announced the appointments of Ridge Muhly (pictured above, left) as regional mutual segment leader and Adam Kornick (pictured above, right) as personal lines segment leader.
Muhly's appointment took effect on Aug. 19, and he is based in Philadelphia. Kornick's appointment will be effective on Sept. 3, and he will be based in Chicago. Both will report to Rob McKenzie, president of sales and segments, North America, at Guy Carpenter.
In his role as regional mutual segment leader, Muhly will collaborate with regional mutual brokers and the global analytics and advisory team to provide reinsurance and advisory services tailored to clients in the regional mutual sector.
As personal lines segment leader, Kornick will work with the team to offer reinsurance, analytics, capital, and advisory solutions to clients. Kornick is joining Guy Carpenter from Porch Group in Chicago, where he was part of the management team that took the company public, launched the insurance division, and significantly expanded property premiums.
From 2016 to 2020, Kornick served as Allstate's chief data technologist, and prior to that, he held senior positions at Aviva and Progressive.
John Trace, CEO of North America at Guy Carpenter, stated that Guy Carpenter's analytics and capital advisory capabilities give clients a competitive edge in their commercial segments while protecting their balance sheets and supporting future growth.
Trace also emphasized that both Muhly and Kornick have deep expertise in their respective markets and will be valuable additions to the North America Segment leadership team.
Earlier this month, Guy Carpenter also announced the return of Marie-Eve Nadeau to its Canadian Broking Team as senior vice president, based in the Toronto office.
