Canopius, a global specialty (re)insurer, has appointed Laura Burke (pictured) as the US head of cyber and technology, the company announced Wednesday. Burke steps into the role after serving as executive vice president for cyber and technology since joining Canopius in 2020.
A news release highlighted that this appointment underscores Canopius’ continued focus on expanding its presence in the US cyber insurance market. The company emphasized Burke’s contributions to its cyber strategy and operations as pivotal to its success in addressing the challenges posed by evolving cyber threats.

The company redesigned its primary cyber coverage in 2023, focusing on providing flexible and comprehensive protection for businesses.
