Life and health specialist Caro&Co has joined ICIB Brokerweb Group’s (ICIB Brokerweb) network.

Caro&Co, situated in Blenheim with a significant client base in Waikato, is headed by principal Caro Gatley.

Who is Caro Gatley?

With over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and the last 21 years managing her own practice, Gatley (pictured, right) specialises in personal insurance covers, including life and disability, trauma, and key person cover.

She also plays an active role in the community, serving as a trustee of Breast Cancer Research in Waikato and a board member of the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce.

Caro&Co joins ICIB Brokerweb Group

Commenting on Caro&Co’s decision to join ICIB Brokerweb, Gatley emphasised the importance of proper insurance coverage for both individuals and businesses.

“I am delighted to be working with the ICIB Brokerweb team and being able to expand the current range of services I offer my clients. Both our businesses place clients at the centre of everything we do, so enabling people to have their life and health and fire and general insurances together under one umbrella is a win-win for everyone,” she said.

Wayne Wiffen, South Island manager at ICIB Brokerweb, noted that Gatley’s addition strengthens the group’s life and health services in Blenheim and Waikato.

“It is great to have someone of Caro’s calibre join our business and help us to expand our life & health services, particularly in Blenheim and the Waikato,” he said.

ICIB Brokerweb forms subsidiary

The deal with Caro&Co follows the establishment of a new ICIB Brokerweb subsidiary through the merger of its Tauranga branch with Bay of Plenty firm Financial Independence.

The newly created entity, now named ICIB Financial Independence, is led by Financial Independence’s Ben Ruthe and Alana Collinson.

Ruthe highlighted the benefits of the merger, effective from December last year.

“We are excited to be expanding in the Bay of Plenty and adding the local ICIB Brokerweb staff and resources to our team. This is an exciting opportunity to blend our local investment with nationwide scale, additional capacity, and expertise,” he said at the time.

ICIB Financial Independence, staffed by more than 40 insurance professionals, provides both general and life and health risk services and advice.
