Bronwyn Kirwan (pictured), Fidelity Life’s chief commercial officer, spoke on the significance of the awards, noting their role in celebrating advisers’ contributions to New Zealanders’ wellbeing.
“Massive congratulations to all our finalists. Advisers have been at the heart of Fidelity Life since 1973, and these awards are one way we recognise their amazing contributions – not just to Fidelity Life, but to the broader community and to New Zealanders’ financial and emotional wellbeing. We can’t wait to announce and celebrate the winners at Engage 2024,” she said.
Engage 2024, themed “Growth for Good,” will take place at Auckland’s JW Marriott hotel. The agenda will include keynote addresses by high-profile New Zealanders, including Olympian Dame Lisa Carrington, comedian Dai Henwood, journalist Patrick Gower, and Luke Ashworth, a UK-based adviser known for his work with AI in life insurance.
The Fidelity Life Adviser awards 2024 finalists have been announced after the insurer named the recipients of its 2024 Career Connect scholarships, which are aimed at bringing greater diversity to the financial services field.
Each scholarship, valued at up to $5,000, supports underrepresented groups in pursuing advisory roles.
This year’s scholarships include a Women in Finance scholarship from Kaplan Professional and a Rural scholarship sponsored by FMG, along with five additional scholarships directly funded by Fidelity Life.
These seven scholarship recipients, along with 14 other new advisers, will be working toward a Level-5 Certificate in Financial Services as part of their entry into the industry.
