This move aims to streamline the application process for advisers, providing easier access to a range of health insurance options.
The integration also includes nib’s current promotion, offering coverage for specific pre-existing conditions for eligible new Ultimate Health plan customers after three years.
Bronwyn Kirwan (pictured, left), chief commercial officer at Fidelity Life – which is offering premium waivers for drought-impacted customers – said the partnership aims to simplify operations for advisers.
“Fidelity Life and nib first came together in 2014 based on the premise that, together, health and life coverage provide a robust safety net for New Zealanders, who tend to be under-insured,” she said. “Making it easier for our advisers to access nib’s adviser health promotions via our E-App means we’re removing a source of friction by streamlining the application process, and ultimately helping more customers get the benefits of insurance protection.”
“nib is delighted to have expanded its successful relationship with Fidelity Life with this arrangement, where our adviser health promotions will be available through Fidelity Life’s E-App,” said Chris Carnall (pictured, right), head of distribution at nib New Zealand.
“As New Zealand’s second largest health insurer, we remain committed to increasing our assistance to advisers to help them find the right health cover for their clients and their families.”
To access nib’s adviser health promotions through Fidelity Life's E-App, advisers must create an illustration in Apollo and proceed with the online application. The underwriting and policy issuance processes are then managed by Fidelity Life and nib.
