Chubb Life Insurance New Zealand Limited has announced the appointment of Chris Hand as its new general manager - distribution.
Hand has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has held roles in various areas of the industry including case and claims management and sales and relationship management.
“Since joining us in 2019, Chris has played an integral role in the rapid growth and success of our business,” said Gail Costa, chief executive of Chubb Life Insurance New Zealand.
Prior to joining Chubb Life, Hand served with Insurer Colonial before its merger with Insurer Sovereign, where he stayed until it was purchased by the AIA Group in 2018.
While he was a part of Sovereign, Hand had worked his way up beginning with the role of contact representative. Eventually, he took on managerial roles such as case manager, claims manager, business development manager, national sales manager - advised direct, corporate sales development manager, and retail sales manager.
Hand is set to begin his new role on 1 April.
