Lockton has brought in John Nahas (pictured) to serve as vice president and cyber risk consultant within its cyber & technology team.

In its announcement, the world’s biggest privately held insurance brokerage cited Nahas’ over 15 years of experience in cyber risk consulting. An expert in cybersecurity assessments and incident response planning, his credentials include eight years at Marsh and a stint at Sony Corporation.

In his new role, Nahas will collaborate closely with Lockton’s cyber & technology brokers, claims colleagues, and other risk consultants to deliver advanced cyber risk management and preparedness strategies to clients.

Michelle Faylo, US cyber & technology practice leader at Lockton, noted: “John’s extensive cyber risk and information security knowledge will be an asset to each of our clients’ businesses. We are dedicated to delivering the very best risk management experience to our clients, and John will help them remain at the forefront of cybersecurity best practice.

“John’s cybersecurity knowledge coupled with his drive to make a difference for our clients is why we are thrilled to have him on board.”

Meanwhile, in another leadership update, Lockton announced that Josh Korzon assumed the role of chief operating officer for the Northeast region last month following Tim Ryan’s promotion to president for the US operations.

Ryan praised Korzon’s leadership, stating: “For nearly a decade, Josh has directed our client engagement strategy, collaborated on the development of our vision for the future, and was key to implementing it across the region. I am confident that his knowledge and expertise will further guide our success.”

As for the new Lockton US president, he is now in charge of overseeing the broker’s largest region.

“I am incredibly excited by the opportunity to lead Lockton’s US business, a company built on values that I have been proud to be associated with for nearly two decades,” Ryan shared in August.
