Specialty insurer Beazley has announced the appointment of Patricia Kocsondy (pictured above) as head of global cyber digital risks, effective Jan. 1.
In her new role, Kocsondy will be responsible for setting the global product and distribution strategy for all of Beazley’s cyber business in the sub-US$250 million segment, the company said. She will report to Paul Bantick, global head of cyber risks.
Beazley said that the newly created role will ensure that its products and services are tailored to the unique needs of the sub-US$250 million segment. The company said the move would benefit its broker partners while improving access to its cyber ecosystem.

Kocsondy currently serves as head of US cyber and technology at Beazley, a role she has held since 2021. The company said the search for her successor in that role would begin immediately.
“Beazley’s cyber underwriting continues to grow,” Bantick said. “Today we underwrite more than $1 billion of cyber premium globally and expect significant growth in the sub-$250 million market in the coming years, making now the right time for a cyber leader of Patricia’s experience and skill to head the ongoing development of our cyber offering for this important segment of business.”
In October, Beazley announced the appointment of Brenna Westinghouse as corporate head of strategy.
