Fidelity Life is extending support to its clients in Hawke’s Bay who have been affected by the recent flooding in Wairoa and the Heretaunga Ward of Hastings.
Effective immediately, Fidelity Life customers experiencing financial hardship due to the flooding can apply to have their insurance premiums waived for up to three months.
There is also an option to extend this waiver for an additional three months, ensuring their insurance protection remains intact.
Bronwyn Kirwan (pictured), chief commercial officer of Fidelity Life, expressed concern for the communities impacted by these recurrent weather events.
“We’re here for the good of New Zealand and that means being there for our communities when they need us. We hope this relief offer helps Fidelity Life customers in Wairoa and Heretaunga Ward get through these challenging times, with one less thing to worry about,” she said. “Keeping your insurance cover in place, especially during tough times, is so important, as it provides peace of mind and a financial safety net when the unexpected happens. This relief offer is a small way we can relieve some of the pressure our customers might be facing.”
Customers seeking to benefit from this relief offer should contact their financial adviser or reach out directly to Fidelity Life at [email protected].
In a separate initiative, Fidelity Life launched a new campaign offering three months of free premiums to new clients.
Kirwan said that this campaign is part of the company’s broader effort to enhance the value it provides to both advisers and their clients.
“Life insurance provides peace of mind, and an all-important safety net should the unexpected happen in our lives. We understand that times are tough right now, so we hope that removing a potential barrier will make it a bit easier for New Zealanders to get the benefits of both financial advice and insurance protection,” she said.
The campaign targets new policies under Platinum Plus, Platinum Plus Level Term, Mortgage Protectors, and NZHL Life insurance plans.
To qualify, policies must be issued between May 1 and Aug. 31, 2024. Applications must be submitted within 30 days from the illustration date, with policies issued within six months following the end of the promotion.
