The insurers have come up trumps against the brokers in yet another sporting event.
The three games which made up the
inaugural football match between brokers and insurers were all won by insurers with the following scores:
Men’s social = 4-0
Women’s = 4-1
Men’s competitive = 3-2
While the main organisers Murray Snell and Terry Mutimer were unable to comment at the time of publication, one insurer player told
Insurance Business the day was a huge success, and not just because of the insurer’s threefold win.
“It was a brilliant day, there must have been 200 people down there either playing or supporting.”
He said while the brokers had a number of experienced players on their teams, the tone was set from the first game which was the men’s social.
“It was a case of smash and grab, really,” he said.
“But the brokers were pretty jovial about it afterwards, it was all just for fun after all.”
