Suncorp New Zealand has appointed Nicholas Meister (pictured above) as executive manager for business.
With more than 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Meister joins Suncorp from Tower, where he was most recently head of underwriting. Other roles he held with Tower were marine manager and underwriting operations manager. He was previously national manager at boat insurer Club Marine, and he also spent four years at PIC Insurance Brokers, holding various marine-related roles.
“I'm excited to lead the talented business team, reconnect with brokers and build relationships with new partners,” Meister said in a LinkedIn post.
“It's also been bittersweet today as I say goodbye to my fantastic team and colleagues at Tower,” Meister said. “Tower has provided many opportunities for me to grow and develop, and I've enjoyed being part of this innovative and energised business. I know Tower will continue to go from strength to strength under the leadership of Blair, Ron, the exec and the Tautai team.”
