The scholarship recognises and rewards business and leadership potential, and offers a development opportunity for young New Zealand insurance professionals. The winner will receive a prize of $10,000 to attend an international industry event, leadership conference or seminar program.
“We are delighted to offer this opportunity to a member of the New Zealand insurance community,” ICNZ chief executive Tim Grafton said. “This scholarship will not only give the winner new skills and knowledge to help them to develop their leadership abilities, it will also enhance their understanding of the industry in a global context and allow them to represent New Zealand among their international counterparts.”
ANZIIF chief executive officer Prue Willsford, meanwhile added: “In today’s global market, the scholarship provides an invaluable opportunity to grow international business networks and industry knowledge.”
The scholarship is open to direct employees of ICNZ member and citizens and permanent residents of New Zealand aged 34 years and below.
Interested entrants must submit a 2,500-word essay to provided questions on the topics of trust and confidence, consumer expectations and conduct and culture in the insurance industry.
