Specialist insurance recruitment firm Stirling Andersen has announced that it has expanded into the South Island with a new office opening in Christchurch.
The international firm, which has a presence in Auckland as well as across the Tasman and throughout Asia, has opened a new branch alongside its accounting and finance brand Walker Andersen, and specialist construction brand Baker Andersen, which all fall under The Andersen Partnership.
The office will be headed up by Andrew Knight, who recently joined The Andersen Partnership having worked within the recruitment industry for over 20 years in New Zealand and the UK.
“Our business is built around people and we were looking at finding the right people to launch that office, which we have found now,” Gary Bloxham, manager of Stirling Andersen told Insurance Business.

“We have now launched the office with four people in all various subsidiaries.”
Having moved into the New Zealand market two years ago, Stirling Andersen has seen its presence grow throughout the market.
Bloxham noted that the Auckland office will continue to manage the Wellington and regional areas as the business wanted to make the move to the South Island to cover all geographies of the country.
Knight joins the firm as associate director.
