Management veteran Damien Tucker has been announced as the new chief operating officer of Southern Cross Travel Insurance (SCTI), according to a National Business Review report.
In his new role at SCTI, Tucker will oversee the insurer’s operational teams with responsibility over the firm’s customer engagement efforts.
Tucker has over two decades of management experience, having held several leadership roles in the healthcare, software, and telecommunications industries. Before joining SCTI, he was commercial director at telematics firm EROAD, and prior to that had executive stints in Orion Health and Spark Digital NZ.
Chris White, chief executive officer of SCTI, told NBR that Tucker’s “proven experience in leading high-performing operational teams and relentless drive to putting customers at the heart of everything was particularly suited to the business’s strategic direction.”
