With travel restrictions lifting across the globe, Southern Cross Travel Insurance (SCTI) has launched a new ad campaign to underscore the importance of travel insurance and the peace of mind that stems from having adequate coverage.
“Southern Cross has provided cover and peace of mind to millions of travellers over the last four decades and we know that, now more than ever, they’re looking for a brand that they can trust will be there for them if the unexpected happens,” SCTI head of sales, product and marketing Nick Basset told AdNews.
The campaign is centred around the slogan “Relax, we’re with you” and portrays individuals rediscovering their love for travel as they visit beautiful locales and have tearful reunions with their loved ones. According to Basset, this portrayal aims to depict the desire that travellers have to see more of the world while recognising the anxiety that they could still have from the COVID-19 lockdowns.
“Our investment in our customer experience and analytics, our brand and our product expansion has positioned us well to meet the returning travel market,” added Basset. “We worked tirelessly during the pandemic to ensure we can provide comprehensive cover that meets customers’ needs. As a result, we have launched a strong covid cover proposition along with domestic policies – all in plain English that customers can understand.”
SCTI’s campaign was developed by creative agency Havas New Zealand in collaboration with Australian media agency Spark Foundry and will begin rolling out in New Zealand on Sept. 4 across various channels including TV, digital, social media, and PR.
