New Zealand insurer Southern Cross Health Society has been awarded 2019 Canstar’s Most Satisfied Customers Award for the fourth year running.
According to Canstar, Southern Cross Health Society is the only health insurance provider to receive five stars for communication, claims lodgement, claims process, claims outcome, quality of service and overall satisfaction.
Southern Cross Health Society was rated by its members as the market leading health insurer, winning the customer satisfaction award for the fourth consecutive year, Canstar New Zealand general manager Jose George said.
“With an increasing focus on health and wellbeing programmes along with the introduction of initiatives to address premium affordability, Southern Cross Health Society has continued to retain the trust and loyalty of its member base,” George noted.
Meanwhile, Southern Cross Health Society CEO Nick Astwick said the award was an acknowledgement of the hard work that went into consistently delivering outstanding service.
“As a Friendly Society, we put our members’ needs first and they trust us to be there when they need us most,” Astwick added. “It’s great to be recognised by our members as providing the highest quality customer experience and I’m very proud of the efforts our teams make every day to deliver on this promise.”
Canstar’s research also found that almost two in three respondents (65%) like the peace of mind a health insurance policy provides.
