The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (
ANZIIF) and Finity Consulting have announced the opening of submissions for the 2014 Peter Corrigan International Scholarship.
The bi-annual scholarship funded by Finity Consulting provides the winner $10,000 to attend an international conference or seminar program that offers an industry or leadership-based development opportunity.
“This scholarship is an amazing opportunity for those experienced industry professionals who seek to develop their leadership skills and knowledge through a significant global learning opportunity of their choice,” said
Prue Willsford, ANZIIF Chief Executive Officer.
The scholarship is offered in memory of Peter Corrigan, a long-serving member of the insurance community and advocate of leadership and professional development.
“Finity is very proud to sponsor the Peter Corrigan International Scholarship,” said Estelle Pearson, Finity Managing Director and Principal.
“This award continues to acknowledge Peter’s leadership and exceptional contribution to the industry. Peter was passionate about motivating people to realise their full potential.
“This award honours many of his qualities by providing an inspirational opportunity for an insurance professional to strengthen international networks and engage in unique learning opportunities,” she said.
The scholarship is open to current financial members of ANZIIF who have permanent residency in Australia, New Zealand or a country in the Asia-Pacific and have at least five years’ experience working in the insurance industry (including service provider organisations and relevant university departments).
Candidates must submit a 2500 word essay based on one of five questions and supporting documents.
