Aimed at strengthening links between Australian and New Zealand insurance professionals and their international counterparts, the scholarship winner will travel to London to attend the 53rd annual Aon Benfield Global Clients Reinsurance Seminar from September 10-20.
Applications are open to Australian and New Zealand permanent residents or citizens who are currently residing in Australia or New Zealand and have at least two years’ experience working in insurance or reinsurance.
For a chance to win the scholarship, applicants are called on to write a 2,500-word essay discussing “the non-insurance gap – a growth opportunity?”
“With an opportunity to explore, analyse and discuss issues significant to our industry, the scholarship provides insurance professionals the opportunity to help navigate our industry and inspire and evoke possible change,” Aon Benfield Australia and New Zealand president APAC and CEO Robert De Souza said.
“This year’s topic will create excellent discussion and debate and I look forward to seeing what the submissions have to offer to the industry.”
ANZIIF chief executive offer Prue Willsford, meanwhile, said insurance professionals, through the scholarship, will have the opportunity to continue their development, build their international business networks and increase their industry knowledge.
Applications close at 5pm (AEST) on June 26. The winner will be announced on August 21.
