Two themes run through this year’s conference – climate change implications for insurers and consumer trust and confidence in our sector.
“Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has called climate change the nuclear-free issue for her generation,” the council said. “The Government is embarking on major changes to address the challenges ahead.
“The insurance sector globally and locally faces significant risks and opportunities, so we will explore in some depth what these are,” it added.
The conference features international speakers, including Rowan Douglas of Willis Towers Watson, Sarah Baker of Minter Mellison, Robert-Muir Wood of RMS.
Presenters from New Zealand insurance companies include Marc Guppy of Allianz NZ and Richard Harding of Tower, among others.
The conference will be held on November 20 at the Sky City Convention Centre in Auckland.
