Singapore-headquartered NexAssure Group is widening its presence by setting up specialist managing general agent (MGA) NexAssure Agency (UK) Limited in London.
Leading NexAssure’s expansion into Europe and the Middle East is newly appointed head of speciality Mark Angel. He worked as chief underwriter at WhiteOak Underwriting Agency prior to joining the MGA.
“NexAssure has built up a successful footprint in the challenging regions of Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia using their entrepreneurial approach and local client-driven expert solutions,” commented the senior underwriter.
Angel continued: “Our London office will provide good opportunities for our clients, including the Lloyd’s broker market for our specialist products and administration services within these new regions and then beyond.”
NexAssure chief executive Anthony Hobrow described Angel as a highly regarded warranty underwriter. “Appointing someone of his quality to our new London office demonstrates our commitment to provide best in class client services and solutions,” he said.
Hobrow added that the expansion reinforces NexAssure’s growth ambitions. Aside from Singapore and London, the firm also has offices in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.
Harj Sandhu, co-founder and director of NexAssure, said the company continues to grow its team with experienced proven professionals to serve the regional needs of its global clients, as well as to expand its client and product base.
NexAssure Group provides warranty, financial, and speciality reinsurance through NexAssure Agency and third-party administration services through NexAssure Management.
