“So far this year, you have helped protect over 50,000 Kiwis, and we’re not done yet.”
Those were the words of AIA New Zealand in the company’s message to financial advisers and partners ahead of the holidays, highlighting what’s been achieved collectively in 2022.
The Kiwi provider, which insures more than 800,000 people and paid $620.6 million in claims for 2021, told its network of advisers: “By using our online tools, you made it faster and easier to protect and service our clients…
“You helped your clients see the benefits and rewards of AIA Vitality 2,236 times in the first six weeks with the AIA Vitality [Value] Calculator.”
Launched in October, the calculator is an interactive tool that assists advisers in showing clients what they stand to gain from the AIA Vitality programme.
“AIA Vitality is the foundation of our approach to health and wellbeing at AIA NZ, and we know advisers understand the value our 40,000 members have accessed from the programme – in benefits, rewards, and tangible health improvements,” said chief partnership distribution officer Sharron Botica (pictured).
Of AIA NZ’s policyholders, more than 300,000 are eligible to attach AIA Vitality to their policies.
Aside from the AIA Vitality Value Calculator, advisers also had access to a host of process enhancements.
“You were busy learning the new features in AIAHub, submitting 83% of applications digitally this year, and over 1,000 of you used our document upload function,” noted AIA NZ in its message. “You submitted a record number of health claims for your clients through AIAHub.
“You helped your clients submit health claims in minutes through MyAIA, with 42% of medical claims submitted digitally this year. You used our LiveChat over 25,000 times, saving 37,000 minutes. Since launch [of AIA MyCare], you have helped submit 114 cases through our virtual care service.”
The insurer went on to thank its partners and the financial advisers it works with for all the support during 2022, a period which AIA New Zealand separately described as a busy and at times challenging year.
“As 2022 comes to a close, we have a chance to reflect on the year that was and acknowledge the amazing job that financial advisers and partners do every day,” stated Botica, who added that AIAHub is the fastest and easiest way to submit applications and claims.
“It’s been wonderful to see advisers embracing the new features in AIAHub, our adviser portal, and supporting customers to use MyAIA, streamlining the customer journey… AIA has more exciting improvements coming in 2023 and looks forward to sharing more about these [next year].”
AIA NZ told advisers: “We look forward to working together for the better in 2023.”
