Several insurance companies have been voted by Kiwis as their most trusted brands, with one company winning its category for 11 years straight.
AA Insurance has topped the general insurance category of the 2021 Reader’s Digest NZ Most Trusted Brands Survey. This is its 11th consecutive year gaining the distinction.
“To be voted New Zealand’s most trusted general insurer is a testament to the hard work of all our people and their dedication to backing up our promises,” said Richard Park, AA Insurance’s GM of marketing, product and pricing. “For us, it’s about holding true to our core principles and values, like doing the right thing for customers time and time again.
“We’re honoured and delighted for this recognition – 11 consecutive years is a particularly special achievement and we couldn’t be prouder.”
For health insurance, Southern Cross took the top spot, followed by AA Health and AIA. The life insurance category was led again by AA, with its AA Life brand, and Southern Cross and AMP took the runner-up spots.
The Most Trusted Brands Survey has been conducted by Reader’s Digest for 22 years. It commissioned Catalyst Research to poll a representative sample of around 1,800 New Zealanders on 72 brand categories.
Confectionery Whittaker’s took the top spot as New Zealand’s most trusted brand for 10 years in a row. Among the winners for other financial industries were ASB for banks, Fisher Funds for superannuation, and AA Life for funeral insurance.
