Insurance Advisernet New Zealand has announced that Travis Atkinson will be joining the team at IANZ as General Manager, Operations. The role has been created to reflect the growth of its New Zealand business, and the group will be looking to further expand its offering to member brokers and their clients.
Atkinson was previously the Executive General Manager, NZI and has “an impressive record of leading businesses, driving change and a deep understanding of the New Zealand intermediated market.”
Insurance Advisernet says Atkinson has “tremendous passion” for the New Zealand insurance industry and is “looking forward with a strong sense of purpose to making a real difference with the whole team at IANZ” following a career break with his family.
Atkinson will be reporting to David Crawford and will take day to day responsibility for all operational functions, together with driving the IA strategy forward in New Zealand.
As Director of IANZ, Crawford will focus more of his energies on recruiting new brokers, on-boarding them and working on how best to position IANZ as the new licensing regime becomes operational over the next period of time.
