1. Why did you get into insurance broking?
I want to help people at all times, not just when they have to make a claim, but by providing easily accessible information about their risk.
2. What motivates you, gets you out of bed in the morning?
I love being part of the reason why businesses and communities are able to grow and operate. I see our industry changing, this is a key motivation for me to get up and keep learning.
3. Where do you see the industry going?
I firmly believe people want simplicity, good service and faster processing, which will be delivered through technology.
4. What are the biggest trends you see in the industry right now?
Working in claims, our industry has changed drastically due to natural disasters. In recent times of earthquakes and extreme weathers globally, businesses and communities are looking at ways to be more resilient.
5. Will online digital advice eventually replace brokers?
Insurance buying demographics will continue to shift and AI is rapidly improving. However, it will be increasingly important to have the ability to take a human approach to business – connect and engage with our clients, customers and communities.
6. As a young professional in insurance, how do you think you can influence the industry?
I want to help make the industry an approachable service for people, whether that’s in person or online where they can get good advice, protect their assets and be more resilient.
7. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Ten years from now, I will keep further enhancing my skills and knowledge and be a talent in my field – I enjoy interacting with different people and I want to keep promoting risk management, sustainability and technology with people’s best interest at heart.
