Honan Insurance Group has unveiled the significant addition of a technology division and a number of changes to the structure of its leadership as it revamps its strategic direction.
Retaining his position as CEO of the Australian insurance broking company is Damien Honan, who commented: “This is an exciting time for Honan as we continue to grow and realise our vision of becoming the leading independent risk and insurance advisory company in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.
“Our new strategy focuses on four key pillars: client value, operational excellence, new technologies, and data and analytics. We believe these pillars, along with our focus on service, will allow us to remain at the forefront of building exceptional client experiences in the insurance industry.”

Key leadership changes include the appointment of Andrew Fluitsma as group managing director and chief broking officer, responsible for leading six business units – global and corporate, strata and real estate, partnerships, risk consulting, risk smart, and employee benefits – through market strategy, product development, and business growth.
Nathaniel Barrs takes on a new role as group chief technology officer, tasked with building a business unit for delivering technology solutions that deliver more value to clients through the use of data, analytics, and collaborative knowledge.
Brad Tymmons has been appointed group chief operating officer, responsible for managing a number of departments including finance, legal, HR, marketing, compliance, business planning, and administration.
