International insurer Generali’s property-casualty unit, Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) has announced the appointment of Benedetta Marcato as global head of financial lines underwriting within the insurance department led by Hayden Seach, GC&C global head of insurance.
Marcato has more than 10 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to taking her new role, she served as GC&C head of cyber insurance underwriting (corporate). In her new role, she will further intensify the tactical development of the GC&C financial lines portfolio, Generali said.
Marcato holds a bachelor’s degree in economics of business and markets and a master’s degree in economic science from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan.
