“We see this as a great opportunity,” Craig Furness, GB’s managing director, New Zealand, said.
Former Symetri CEO,
Katherine Woollard, has taken on a new role with GB as national operations manager, general insurance.
Stream Group, an Australian insurance claims management company and former owner of Symetri, went into voluntary administration following fundraising problems and was put into liquidation in April 2016. The firm also sold its UK operations.
The New Zealand subsidiary of the firm was the largest and most profitable unit of the business.
