The Financial Services Council (FSC) of New Zealand has published its guidance on climate-related analysis and disclosure as part of its efforts to help the sector through a new period of regulations.
The Climate Scenario Narratives and Guidance for the Financial Sector is a newly published report that guides life and health insurance sectors, as well as the financial sector at large, on the reporting of climate-related risks and opportunities.
The guidance was developed for the framework by the External Reporting Board (XRB) and is the culmination of nine month’s work of various FSC members and others within the industry as everyone does their part to address the ongoing climate crisis.
The report can be downloaded freely by both FSC and non-FSC members. The FSB also recently announced that it is taking in members for its climate related disclosures focus group.
