Management consultancy Oxbow Partners has appointed former
Sompo Canopius chief executive Stuart Davies as chairman.
Davies – a partner at private equity firm Disruptive Capital and chairman of run-off company DARAG – has more than two decades of industry experience in personal lines insurance and specialty markets.
Oxbow Partners’ new non-executive chairman also served as managing director of Lloyd’s syndicate Aegis London and was motor insurer Highway’s operations director. He will support project execution and help the management consultancy in developing appropriate services for its clients.
“The combination of Stuart’s decade leading some of London’s most successful specialty underwriters and his operational experience in the motor market gives him unparalleled insight into our clients’ situations,” commented Chris Sandilands, partner at Oxbow Partners.
Sandilands, who is delighted Davies joined Oxbow Partners in the newly created position, added, “We look forward to integrating this into our engagements for our clients’ benefit.”
Poised to support the firm with its next phase of growth, Davies said: “I have been impressed by the impact that Oxbow Partners has had for its clients in the insurance sector and the level of insight that underpins it.”
Davies believes Oxbow Partners has an exciting opportunity to broaden its reach and build its reputation as one of the leading advisors in the sector.
