The Earthquake Commission (EQC) has been named as a finalist in the business transformation through digital and IT category at the NZ CIO Awards.
According to the CIO Awards’ website, the competition recognises individuals, teams and businesses that have shown leadership, innovation and foresight in their contribution to ICT and business in New Zealand.
The category EQC was nominated in is for organisations that have planned and successfully executed business transformation initiatives through the use of digital and disruptive technologies.
“We are honoured to be named as a finalist alongside Auckland Airport, Auckland Council, Contact Energy, and Tu Ora Compass Health,” EQC said in a statement.
“We wish them and all other NZ CIO finalists luck and look forward to celebrating the achievements from across the industry at the end of August.”
A total of seven individuals and 16 organisations have been nominated across six categories. The winners will be announced at the CIO Awards Gala Dinner on August 31, at Shed 10 in Auckland.
