New Zealand energy supplier Pulse Energy has announced a collaboration with Cove Insurance to introduce pet insurance options to Pulse Energy customers. The partnership is also confirmed for the long term, with plans to extend the collaboration with Cove in the future to encompass car insurance as well.
With over 64% of New Zealand households owning a pet, this initiative offers benefits to Pulse Energy customers, providing them with a 20% discount on pet insurance and a complimentary first month valued at up to $100 for a new pet insurance policy with Cove.
The offer is accessible to Pulse Energy customers starting from September 12, 2023, through the Pulse Energy website. Customers simply need to quote their Pulse Energy Account Number when transferring to Cove to pick up this offer.
“Our goal is to offer the best pet insurance experience in New Zealand. The transition from a customer base of hundreds to thousands in just a couple of years, largely through word-of-mouth, illustrates the merits of our genuine, straightforward, and friendly approach. This aligns with Pulse Energy’s values, leading us to believe that their customers will warmly embrace the authenticity ingrained in our insurance services, which, like them, stems from our Kiwi roots,” Cove CEO Andy Coon said.
Pulse Energy CEO Sharnie Warren also said that the collaboration comes from the company looking for ways to provide additional benefits for its customers.
“Like Pulse Energy, Cove is also a Kiwi-founded company,” Warren said. “Being 100% community owned, we love to support Kiwi businesses that share the same values as us and who can deliver a service that our customers can trust. This partnership brings our customers affordable pet insurance and comprehensive coverage, ensuring peace of mind for pet owners.”
Elsewhere for the segment, PD Insurance and Dogs NZ have recently announced a co-branded product that provides special benefits to the kennel club’s breeders and members.
