For the eighth consecutive year, insurance-focused law firm
DLA Piper has earned the top legal advisor ranking globally for overall M&A deal volume, according to Mergemarket’s league tables.
The firm was involved in more than 550 transactions worldwide valued at approximately US$102 billion. DLA Piper also retained its top four ranking for overall deal volume in the United States.
The firm was ranked number one for deal volume in Europe for the fifth consecutive year and number one for deal volume in the United Kingdom for the eighth consecutive year. In addition, it was ranked number one for deal volume in France for the first time, and for the second consecutive year in the Nordics. It also retained its number one ranking for private equity for combined buyouts and exits across Europe.
In Russia, the firm was ranked the second top firm for deal volume, and in Italy it was ranked number four for deal value with transactions worth approximately US$35 billion.
Following its strategic expansion in the region, DLA Piper also ranked as the third top firm in Latin America for transaction value for its involvement with deals worth approximately US$8 billion.
