Delta Insurance appoints senior underwriter

Delta Insurance Group has appointed Natasha Plesnik (pictured above) as a senior underwriter, based in its New Zealand office.

In this role, Plesnik will support all of Delta Insurance NZ’s liability lines.

Plesnik has more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry. She began her insurance career with NZI in 2000 before moving to the UK, where she worked as a commercial and liability underwriter with IAG and QBE. She later took up senior liability underwriter roles with Lumley, QBE and AIG.

Delta Insurance New Zealand underwriting manager, Adrian Sweeney, said Plesnik’s appointment is a boost to the company’s ongoing expansion programme.

“Natasha brings an impressive skill set and breadth of global experience to our team,” he said.

Plesnik said she chose Delta because of its reputation for rapid and successful growth, its supportive, flexible and friendly working environment, and an interesting and innovative product portfolio.

“I’m looking forward to expanding my knowledge of insurance and working in those new, niche product areas Delta has pioneered,” Plesnik said.
