Chubb has appointed APAC property and casualty (P&C) leaders, with responsibilities split for Asia and Australia and New Zealand.
Chris Gough, Chubb head of P&C for Asia, has been with the insurer for over a decade, most recently as the head of P&C for Australia and New Zealand. He has over 20 years of industry experience, having held regional and national roles of increasing seniority with Chubb in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia.
Hayden Baker, Chubb head of P&C, Australia and New Zealand, joined Chubb five years ago. He most recently served as the head of financial lines in Australia and New Zealand.
Both appointments are effective immediately, Chubb said in a news release.
Under the changes, Gough reports directly to Paul McNamee, regional president for Chubb Asia Pacific, while Baker reports to Peter Kelaher, country president for Chubb Australia & New Zealand.
“At Chubb we pride ourselves on our ability to build and promote talented senior leaders from within our company,” said McNamee. “Both Chris and Hayden bring a wealth of experience to their new roles and are highly respected by their colleagues and peers.
“We have every confidence in their ability to lead these large complex portfolios and deliver the market-leading solutions our clients and partners demand of us.”
