BizCover has announced a major expansion into its online business insurance service with several senior promotions and the formation of a new marketing team in NZ.
Senior promotions include five-year veteran Shaneika Sutherland moving into the role of manager of broker operations and distribution, and Daniel Quinn to a newly created role as head of customer acquisition. The new marketing team, on the other hand, will report to head of distribution for NZ Sean Craigen, while newly hired Nicole Kampschreur will take on the post of marketing manager.
Quinn’s previous role of sales manager will be taken over by Joshua Newton, who prior to his promotion was a sales agent and team leader.
Quinn was an Insurance Business Young Gun awardee of 2019. According to his LinkedIn, he holds a tier 1 insurance broking certificate from the Financial Services School, a lever 3 certificate in insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), and a tier 2 general insurance compliance general advice certificate from ANZIIF.
In a news release, BizCover CEO and co-founder Micheal Gottlieb said that while the business has grown large with a centralised model, times call for more focused resources, autonomy, and accountability, a factor that has resulted in this major expansion.
“Our direct channel is large and complex, needing strategic input and coordination across several key departments,” Gottlieb said. “Throughout his six years at BizCover, Dan has worked in several different roles and led various successful projects making him a natural choice for this position.”
