Arch Insurance Australia (Arch) recently announced the appointment of Nick Wood as its new national property underwriting manager. In a Press release, Arch revealed that Wood will be responsible for managing activities across Australia and the Pacific region.

Before taking up this new role, Wood was previously the head of property Asia Pacific at Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty. “We are delighted to have someone of Nick’s calibre and market standing join us as we continue to strengthen our broker proposition across the region,” said Dominic Brannigan, regional manager of Arch. “He has a customer-focused mindset and brings a wealth of knowledge, broker relationships and management experience to the role.”

Wood will be based in Sydney and is tasked to support Arch’s broker partners across the region. He is also set to seek opportunities to expand Arch’s property line of business and deliver on its strategy for growth. He will report to Brannigan and Paul Keeley, head of property for Arch Insurance International.
