The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) is set to participate in International Women’s Day 2025, joining global efforts to promote gender equality under this year’s theme, “Accelerate Action.”
As part of the initiative, ANZIIF CEO Katrina Shanks will speak at the Australasian Life Underwriting and Claims Association (ALUCA)’s International Women’s Day Forum on March 6. The online panel will bring together female leaders and industry experts to discuss gender balance in Australia and explore practical ways to drive progress in the insurance sector.
Members can register for the webinar through ANZIIF’s website.
“The journey toward gender equality is ongoing. International Women’s Day stands as a powerful reminder of both our achievements and progress, as well as the work still ahead,” Shanks said.
To further support the conversation on gender equality, ANZIIF is also making several industry resources publicly available. These include a journal article examining workplace gender bias, a panel discussion featuring CHU Underwriting Agencies from the 2024 International Women’s Day event, an article on Karin Zulkarnaen’s insights into industry opportunities, and a podcast episode with Meg Long on change and innovation in the insurance sector.
