AIA New Zealand has picked the 50 winners of a giveaway it announced in December, with each winner receiving free life and health insurance for a year, up to the value of $1,500.
According to AIA, more than half of the winners were first-time buyers of life or health insurance.
“At AIA, our dream is for New Zealand to become one of the healthiest and best protected nations in the world,” said Sharron Botica (pictured above), AIA NZ chief partnership distribution officer. “Unfortunately, and as we all know, New Zealand has high levels of underinsurance, so one of our goals for this campaign was to help financial advisers in their client conversations and ultimately motivate more Kiwis to get covered.
“It was therefore incredibly heartening to see such a significant proportion of our winners were first-time life or health insurance policyholders and taking that step to protect themselves and their whānau.”
To be able to participate in the promotion, customers simply needed to take out a new eligible policy by Dec. 31. AIA said that feedback from both winners and their advisers has been positive.
“One customer told us that as a newcomer to life insurance, the prospect of navigating the process was daunting, but thanks to their adviser and AIA, they felt supported to make informed choices for their family,” Botica said.
