AIA NZ has appointed Ben McQuay as strategic accounts manager, moving him from his previous role as regional business development manager for the Northern region.
McQuay has been involved with the financial services industry for close to 20 years, with over 14 of them spent in various roles within AIA.
“We are thrilled to have Ben take up this vital role for our business,” said Sam Tremethick, AIA NZ’s chief partnership insurance officer. “With the changing regulatory landscape and operating within the [financial advice provider] framework, the role of strategic accounts manager continues to be critical for AIA NZ as the key conduit between our business and the IFA market. We know Ben will bring great market expertise and relationship management experience to this position, which will be invaluable to the ongoing success of our key partnerships.”
McQuay will step into the new role starting Aug. 15, where he will continue AIA’s focus on health, wellbeing, and high performance by growing AIA’s relationships with its strategic partners.
“This appointment is another great example of how AIA continues to develop and promote internal talent …,” said Tremethick. “Recruitment is now underway with a market-wide search to fill the Northern regional business development manager role, and we welcome interested applicants.”
