AIA NZ has announced the appointments of Sharron Moana Botica (pictured above left) as chief distribution officer and Angela Busby (pictured above right) as chief customer officer.
Botica is currently AIA NZ’s chief customer and digital officer. She has over 20 years of experience in New Zealand’s life insurance industry and has held senior various leadership roles across HR, operations, digital and marketing functions.
Busby is currently the chief strategy officer at AIA NZ’s CEO office. She has more than 25 years of financial markets experience, having held roles such as chief people and culture officer at Sovereign, managing principal at ASB Securities, and general manager of Aegis.
“I congratulate both Sharron and Angela on these new appointments. I know these two incredible wahine toa will continue to make a difference and help AIA NZ champion New Zealand to be the healthiest and best protected nation in the world, as they step into their new roles in October,” said AIA NZ CEO Nick Stanhope.
Both Botica and Busby are set to assume their new roles on Oct. 3. The company said their appointments came as a result of chief partnership insurance officer Sam Tremethick’s decision to return home to Australia and leave AIA NZ by the end of September.
“Sam has been a valuable member of the AIA NZ whānau since joining us in 2019,” Stanhope said. “In this time, he has worked tirelessly alongside our Distribution team to help support our adviser and partner community. We wish him the very best as he heads back home across the ditch.”
