AIA New Zealand has partnered with financial technology firm Iress to integrate the insurer’s quoting system with the Xplan software.
With the system integration, advisers can access instant quote validation and straight-through processing from Iress’ Risk Researcher tool and AIA’s Quote Builder and eApp. AIA said that the new function will help advisers save significant time in processing, as well as reduce manual workarounds.
“Together with Iress, we are thrilled to have this new system integration now live for our advisers,” said Sam Tremethick, AIA NZ’s chief partnership insurance officer. “One of the main drivers of this investment was lessening the load for advisers who do business with us. However, it also offers an improved customer experience with better information provided at time of advice, and more robust transferring of information between systems.”
Tremethick said advisers can enter data directly into Xplan in the presence of their client. Recommended premiums can be validated on the spot, and an instant quote returned in PDF format and presented to the client.
Advisers can also access Quote Builder with the client data pre-populated and the recommended insurance details will be automatically transferred via Risk Researcher. This, AIA said, saves advisers’ valuable time by avoiding duplication of customer information and removing the need to re-enter data.
“This integration will further enhance the efficiencies gained in the advice process for advisers using Xplan’s Risk Researcher module, allowing a seamless transfer of data between Xplan and AIA’s eApp solution,” said Andrew Logan, NZ head of advice, Iress. “This development is a result of a close working relationship between Iress and AIA, and has been a joint collaboration over a number of months, working together to improve productivity for advisers.”
