The German publication, which said the departure is taking place in the coming days, reported that the AGCS boss will be succeeded by Allianz Beratungs- und Vertriebs-AG chief executive Joachim Müller, who is also a management board member at Allianz Deutschland AG.
Allianz has neither confirmed nor denied the supposed leadership change.
Earlier this week, in a separate development, the Munich-headquartered insurance group announced the January 2020 retirement of Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) CEO Andreas Utermann. Stepping up to take the helm at AllianzGI is global head of distribution Tobias C. Pross.
