Cybersecurity and data protection technology company Acronis has appointed Andrea Martin (pictured) as its strategic account executive for New Zealand and Pacific Islands.
Martin, who is a channel management veteran, will help grow the company’s presence in the region.
She is responsible for strengthening relationships with distributors and helping partners meet cybersecurity demands of managed service providers and information technology teams for modern businesses.
Martin has over 20 years of industry experience, most recently serving as territory account manager at Arcserve and StorageCraft for New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Previously, she held roles at IBM such as big data and information management software channel manager and software territory representative.
At Acronis, she will focus on helping modernize and enhance New Zealand clients’ security and backup capabilities using the company’s integrated cyber protection solutions.
The move follows the appointment of Kelly Johnson as Acronis’ new general manager for Australia and New Zealand.
This is part of the company’s expansion in the region, highlighting its increased focus on these key markets.
In a statement, Johnson noted that Acronis is going through a period of “hypergrowth” in the region, driven by its offering of artificial intelligence-cybersecurity capabilities.
“Martin’s strong understanding of the channel, plus account and distribution management skills paired with her expertise in cybersecurity and developing channel ecosystems underscores the significance we place on this market,” Johnson said.
Martin said she was thrilled to join Acronis amid the company’s rapid growth in the region.
“The demand for comprehensive cybersecurity solutions that address all attack vectors and help customers achieve security maturity efficiently is impressive,” she said in a statement. “Acronis offers one of the best solutions for businesses in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.”
