Tracey Batten is joining the ACC from the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in the UK as chief executive. She has held chief executive roles with Dental Health Services Victoria, Eastern Health and St. Vincent’s Health Australia. Currently, she is a director with Australia’s Medibank, Abano Healthcare and NIWA.
“Dr. Batten brings valuable experience in the health sector, medicine and rehabilitation to the board,” Lees-Galloway noted.
Meanwhile, Cavell Capital executive director John Brabazon has also been appointed to the ACC Board. He is currently Dairy Farms director and a former director of Auckland International Airport, as well as a number of companies including Hilton Haulage, Brierley Properties, Apparel Holdings, Downer Group, Wilson Neill, and Manukau City Investments.
Lees-Galloway highlighted that Brabazon’s in-depth experience in investment banking, financial markets and commercial governance will be beneficial to the board.
The minister also confirmed the continuation of the terms of Chair Dame Paula Rebstock until December 2019, and directors Kristy McDonald (for six months) and James Miller for (two and a half years) staggered terms.
“All are making a valuable contribution to the transformation of ACC and I appreciate their ongoing commitment,” Iain Lees-Galloway added.
The new appointments commence February 01, 2019.
