ACC has appointed Amanda Malu (pictured above) as deputy chief executive, service delivery, effective Sept. 26.
The Crown accident insurer will establish the service delivery group on July 4, which will provide critical customer-facing support services for people injured in an accident. The group will work in close partnership with other parts of ACC.
Malu (Kāi Tahu) is currently chief executive of not-for-profit organisation Whānau Āwhina Plunket, which provides support services to families with young children in Aotearoa.
She has held various leadership roles, having previously been an associate director on the board of Ngāi Tahu Holdings, and at the Families Commission and Maritime Safety Authority.
“Amanda is committed to supporting and championing innovation in service design and delivery, and is passionate about equity and embedding a truly Te Tiriti approach, having delivered significant change to the service delivery model of Whānau Āwhina Plunket over the last six years,” said ACC chief executive Megan Main. “I know she’s excited to join us and to lead our work in supporting people injured in an accident.”
