AA Insurance has announced Martin Chisholm as its new head of finance, replacing the late Jacqui Thompson.
Chisholm has been AA Insurance’s chief financial officer for six years, working alongside Thompson since 2012.
“During this time, he had significant responsibility in dealing with the executive, regulators, reinsurers, rating agency and in attending board and subcommittee meetings,” AA Insurance chief executive officer Chris Curtin said
According to Curtin, the company’s executive team and board unanimously agreed that Chisholm has the experience, ability and character to lead his department, and the company, forward financially.
Chisholm brings several years of industry experience including from his most recent role with GE Money before joining AA Insurance in 2007. He has also held a number of positions in various companies outside the country, such an insurance audit role with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in London, and as a technical insurance manager with C&L in Sydney. He has also worked for Royal & Sun Alliance in the UK, on SAP implementations for Zespri in New Zealand and for GE in London.
“So, with those fine attributes we warmly welcome Martin into the executive team,” Curtin added. “He has been, and continues to be, a vital part of AA Insurance, and I'm looking forward to continuing to work with him.
