AXA teams up with travel agency to provide seamless travel protection

This initiative marks a significant advancement in the ongoing collaboration between AXA Hong Kong & Macau and the global travel service provider.

What is Trip.com Travel Smart?

The “Trip.com Travel Smart” product line includes three distinct plans:

  • One-way Trip
  • Round-trip Lite
  • Round-trip Deluxe

These options offer various levels of coverage, addressing different traveller needs.

Coverage includes medical expenses and personal accident protection up to HK$1.5 million, personal liability up to HK$2 million, as well as protection for baggage, trip delays, and cancellations due to adverse weather.

The partnership aims to simplify the travel insurance purchase process for Trip.com customers. Insurance can be added with a single click during the flight booking process on the Trip.com website or mobile app. Alternatively, customers have the option to buy the insurance separately for individual trips.

Policy management and claims submission are facilitated through AXA’s Emma by AXA app.

Importance of travel insurance

Trip.com customers who purchase “Trip.com Travel Smart” will earn Trip Coins, redeemable for various travel-related purchases on the Trip.com platform, including hotels, flights, train tickets, and attractions.

AXA Hong Kong & Macau also recently teamed up with HK Express Airway to offer the airline’s customers a seamless travel insurance process with customised protection.
