Allianz Partners Australia has broadened its partnership with Singapore Airlines (SIA) to incorporate travel insurance directly into the flight booking process for Australian customers.
Starting in July, passengers booking flights on the SIA website will have the option to obtain travel insurance seamlessly as part of their purchase.
The integrated model allows passengers to receive an instant insurance quote based on their flight information during the booking process or later through the Manage Booking feature on the SIA website.
Damien Arthur, executive head of travel at Allianz Partners Australia, highlighted the strategic importance of this development.
“This collaboration represents a strategic leap forward in our longstanding relationship with Singapore Airlines. Integrating the travel insurance option during flight bookings simplifies the process for Singapore Airlines’ customers. We are excited to leverage our global expertise and innovative solutions to deliver top-tier travel insurance that complements Singapore Airlines’ commitment to excellence,” he said.
The Allianz Partners and Singapore Airlines global partnership, initiated in January 2022, first launched in Singapore, Switzerland, and Germany. It has since expanded to include key markets in the Asia-Pacific region. Through this partnership, SIA customers in 28 high-growth markets can select from a variety of insurance products covering travel, security, and health needs.
By extending the partnership to include the Australian market, Allianz Partners enhances its brand visibility and makes travel insurance more accessible to passengers. Travelers can now easily add insurance when booking flights, ensuring they have support throughout their trip.
SIA arranges this insurance as an authorised representative for AWP Australia Pty Ltd, trading as Allianz Global Assistance (AGA). AGA issues and manages travel insurance on behalf of Allianz Australia Insurance Limited.
In other news from Australia, Allianz Australia entered a multi-year partnership with Football Australia, making it the official insurance partner of the organisation and its national teams. The agreement also includes branded assets (which enables Allianz Australia to have logo placement on the back of training and off-field apparel), support for para-athletes, global and local engagement, improved inclusivity and diversity, and community empowerment.
