Blink Parametric has launched its flight disruption assistance product, FlyEasy, in partnership with Zurich Indonesia.
Blink Parametric specialises in technology-driven insurance solutions that address high-frequency, low-value claims, providing real-time support to travellers experiencing delays. Its solutions are designed to enhance operational efficiency for insurers while delivering immediate benefits to policyholders.
FlyEasy, available through the Zurich Edge platform, uses parametric technology to provide automatic benefits to customers affected by flight delays.
This marks the second rollout under a collaboration aimed at integrating Blink Parametric solutions within Zurich’s Asia-Pacific network, which includes Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, and Indonesia. The initial deployment earlier this year was with Singapore-based online travel platform Klook.
The FlyEasy program enables customers to pre-register their flight information, allowing the system to monitor flights in real time.
If a delay of two hours occurs, customers receive instant access to benefits, including complimentary access to a VIP airport lounge. The lounge pass, valid for up to six months if unused, is provided without requiring customers to file claims or complete additional application steps.
FlyEasy is available for customers of Zurich Indonesia’s executive and premier international travel plans, covering both single-trip and annual multi-trip policies.
Richard Pollard, director of strategic accounts at Blink Parametric, said the partnership with Zurich Indonesia supports the company’s continued efforts to expand within the Asia-Pacific region.
“It’s now possible for Zurich partners to tap into the Zurich Edge platform and deploy our real-time travel assistance solution under the FlyEasy brand with speed and efficiency – exactly how it should be,” he said.
Zurich Indonesia’s head of digital, Sukma Darman, said the company aims to create innovative, customer-focused solutions through advanced technology.
“One of Zurich Edge’s key objectives is to bring a fresh perspective on insurance to our partners and customers so that we can deliver personalised, customer-centric solutions using next-gen technology,” he said.
Darman said Blink Parametric has played a significant role in helping the insurance giant offer real-time assistance across the Asia Pacific, ensuring it meets the needs of travellers during critical moments.
“Blink Parametric have helped us to achieve successful travel insurance integrations for the Asia-Pacific region throughout this year, including delivery of innovative real-time assistance for our valued customers when they need us,” he said.
